Hi everybody. We're going to be heading off to Grandpa's soon for the next day. Mom and Dad are going to be participating in Relay for Life to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. It's a 24 hour event with walkers on the track at all times. It's meant to signify that since cancer never sleeps, neither will we. Grandpa's going to have his hands full with 7 of us over there. I think our cousin Rachel is going to help him and dad will go over when he can. Luckily Grandpa lives just a couple blocks from the Beech Grove city park which is where the Relay is. Mom's on the planning committe and a cancer survivor so she has to be there most of the time. They said they are even camping out there. I wish we could go but mom says no dogs are allowed. Here's a link to Mom's page if you're interested in a little more info or have some extra change lying around http://main.acsevents.org/site/TRC/RelayForLife/RelayForLifeGreatLakesDivision?pg=peditor&fr_id=8140&px=6519411 If anyone is out running around off leash from 4 Pm tonight until 10 AM tomorrow, you should go to the park and check on my parents for me. I'm sure grandpa will give us plenty of loving that's for sure. Mom says the luminaria ceremony after dark is really beautiful and touching and she always cries. Well, that's our plans through tomorrow afternoon. I guess we'll see you guys sometime Saturday. Have fun and be safe, it's going to be hot out there.
Have fun at the grandparents. I LOVE going to see mine. Mom's walking on the north side this weekend, but just as part of a team. She'll only be gone a couple of hours.
Have fun...my mama and dad did the local Relay for Life down here, but it was in the spring....lots cooler. Mama says she gets really misty during the luminaria ceremony too. Keep grandpa in line.
