Agility

Cherie on Training - Mon, July 28 2008

Well, Mama M started my Mommy thinking about agility training and I'm thinking I would LOVE it. So would FiFi - she is really fast and can turn or stop on a dime and loves to run. So, don't we have to go to a standard obedience course first before we can go on to agility? What's the "curriculum" for us to go to agility school? xoxo Cherie

I don't know how other training facilities do it, but we have been taking Dolly for her Novice training here. They do require 8 weeks of novice training before starting them in the agility.

You could have your mom call Babs Beck at Pawsitive Partners in Beech Grove. That's where Miss T and I do our rally training, but agility is THE big thing there.

Yep, Pawsitive Partners is where Maddie and Sydney have done much of their training. They do not have to have obedience training, but do have to be able to sit and stay for a short while, and have basic manners around other dogs. Check them out at www.pawsitivepartners.com

This is where Mom said I'm going to go... if I can grow up around other dogs first.

Mom has been talking about taking me there too! I just 'graduated' to level two school so she thinks I'm ready. We're going to wait until fall though so it isn't as hot out.

I went to Pawsitive Partners! I may be going back in the fall. It depends on mom's schedule. Mom's been trying to get with dad to make me some equipment to use at home, but it hasn't happened yet. Maybe if she wasn't fostering all the time, she could take care of my stuff! Hmphf!

Pawsitive Partners has basic classes starting in September. We might take agility, but we might do Rally again instead. We love Rally!
