My way to smart boy-ETB

Mama T on Nutrition - Mon, July 28 2008

Oh, my ETB may be too smart for his own good. As you may know, I made a batch of Mama Biscuits this weekend. Last night, before bedtime, I was giving him his good night treat which I thought I would be slick and give him his Brewer’s Yeast tablets. Normally, he will catch them and eat them. Last night, he was knocking them out of the way with his nose, just sitting there looking at me. So I thought, okay…perhaps a biscuit. So I tossed an SBB (store bought biscuit)….he ducked out of the way and let it fly into the kitchen. Now, what I should have done was went on to bed and said-Sorry for your luck but I thought I would try one more. So I got a Mama Biscuit, broke in half and tossed it to me. Yeah, he caught it and snarfed it down. Still wanted nothing to do with the tablets but he did go into the kitchen and retrieve the SBB AFTER he got what he wanted.

I should have known when he was a 6 wk old pup and busting out of his crate that I was going to be in trouble.

Oh, Mama T....it just shows that ETB has good taste...why eat SBB when you can have (and smell) Mama T's biscuits...no comparison.

Lol, Eddie does that when I have 3 dog bakery biscuits. Every once in awhile he'll put the SBB's into our shoes.

I'm a picky one too. Daddy will offer me a bone.. I sniff it and then say "what else you got?" at least 3 or 4 times. Look, a girl has the right to be selective on what tasty treat she wants. I say, good job ETB for holding out for the good stuff.

I have never turned down a tidbit of anything in my life! Lettuce, some moldy old biscuit that mom found in the bottom of the treat drawer, tiny morsels of cat food that no one else can see...bring it on. I will not discriminate against any food!
