I know I'm a dog and all, but my Mom works in the medical field. She says if you warm them up, they don't hurt. It works for eyedrops, too. Since Mom's got one of those booby trap things on, she carries it around the house tucked inbetween the fluffy things and then they're warm. She had ear infections herself a lot when she was a kid, pink eye sometimes, too. Warming helps a lot. I don't know what your Dad would do with them. Maybe both of them could carry the bottle around in their front pants pocket for a little while to warm them up. Just a thought
Skittles, I know you won't like me because of what I'm about to say, but regardless I still hope that we can be buddies. Dad said NOT to heat up the ear drops because they are most effective at cold temps. The more you heat them up, the more the proteins in the medicine breaks down. The more the proteins break down, the less effective against the mites. Sorry, but recommendation is for cold drops.
P.S. I had mites when I was little too...around Christmas no less! They are no fun and I sympathize with your anguish. Dad used to give them to me when I was in deep sleep. There is no worse way than to wake up than with chilly drops down the ears!
