Stacy on Activities - Sat, July 26 2008

Here's the text from an email I received. All of our voices made a difference!! With the things we've been hearing about IACC and the Marion-Grant shelter - I really needed a victory! Thanks to everyone who signed the petitition and complained to Verizon.

Message from the petition author, R. Brace and the ASPCA online community:

---------------------------------

I have just spoken with Steve Schwartzman, Executive Coordinator, who told me that the offensive ad has been pulled in all markets. Thank you to all who signed this petition and made the calls! Mr. Schwartzman was very understanding of our feelings, and admitted that they have received quite a bit of heat over this commercial.
Each and every one of you made the difference.

Thank you again.

Sincerely,

Renee Brace and the ASPCA Online Community

I am thrilled .Now if you they would just follow up with a positive pitbull ad- either them or one of the other carriers. Anyone have a good friend in advertising at any of the other phone services like AT&T or Sprint?

We jumped with joy when we got that email. We sent a message to sprint, asking them if they thought about doing a better commercial than verizon with some nice pit bulls. I hope so!
