We had a little excitement here in the past couple of days. Buddy, when we adopted him a couple of weeks ago, had a little growth in the corner of his right eye. My vet was concerned that it could be a melanoma, so he sent us to the eye specialist.
She gave us two options, surgical cutting of the eyelid to remove the growth, or laser removal of the thing. The laser procedure has a chance the thing will come back, but the recovery time is amazing! It's been just a little over 24 hours and Buddy's eye isn't swollen any more, and it looks clean, other than the antibiotic lotion we have to put in.
Buddy was tired from the whole thing yesterday but has been running around like nothing happened today. I'm really impressed with the doctor (Dr. Smith in Fremont, CA) and the procedure. Buddy's impressed that he gets a lot of loving!
