Free Doxie in Star

Buster on Breeds - Tue, July 22 2008

Today there was a 7 mos. doxie with papers, housebroken and crate trained in the free ads in the Star. I hope that little girl gets a good home, but who knows?
It makes Mama sad to see that every day there are more and more "free to a good home" ads in the Star "daily deal." This sounds like a wonderful dog, but they are all probably wonderful in their own way. I cross my paws for them.

I try hard not to look at the Daily Deal. In addition to feeling bad for all of them, I am appalled at people who don't even know how to spell the name of their breed...Rockwilders, Burmese Mountain Dogs, Blue Healer, etc.

I think as people fall on hard times this is what happens. Pets are expensive to keep. A person needs to think of that before getting a pet. Mommy would live out of her car and loose alot of weight before she would let me go.

I saw that add too, plus another one for a free
Cocker Spaniel. I hate when that happens. I want every dog to have a loving happy home.
