I gag at live bugs, too...

If you recall my previous post a while ago, I have a sensitive gag reflex when it comes to bugs. Mom always thought it was just dead bugs that I gagged at. (see post http://www.indypaws.com/post/index/16421).

Today there was a big black ant on the carpet and I thought he looked like fun to play with. Well..as I got close and sniffed him my sis says, "I wonder if he'll gag at a live bug, too". As if on cue, I gagged. Loudly. Mom and sis erupted with laughter while I regained my composure. Mom came over with a paper towel, picked it up and threw it away. After all was done, I went back over to sniff where that ant was and darn, if it still didn't stink like him and make me gag!!

I could never be a hunter. Bugs just make me heave and I don't know why. I have a very squeemish gag reflex. Oreo and Pearlie tease me all of the time and put dead bugs at me feet just to watch me gag. Then they laugh and run away.

I know this is an odd behavior in a cat, but what can I say? I don't like bugs!
