I've begun nipping

I am not share if it is an attention thing or what, but I have recently started nipping at my mom when she is not paying attention to me. I will get in her face, meow and loud and as pitiful as kitty-possible and she'll pet me for a minute. But when she stops, I will go to her feet and bite her big toe. And my little teeth hurt! How come I have picked up this bad habit and how can I be stopped?

Izzy's started biting recently. My answer to that was a squirt from a water bottle.

Just what I was going to suggest! No animals in my house are allowed to touch human skin with teeth, even if they are "love bites."
