What is it??

Since I have come back from the kennel, I have something. It sounds as if I am hyper-ventalating. I seem to be trying to suck in air and it does not come in. Mommy has blown in my nose and patted my back and nothing seems to help. I have to get over it myself. This scares me so much. Does anyone know what is happening to me?? I did get my kennel cough shot before I went. I get home with mommy and now this is happening.

Kennel cough shots / drips don't prevent illness ... they help make it less severe if you catch something. I'd take you into your vet or an emergency vet. Breathing issues are not things to "wait" on.

I would definitely go see a doctor... As I've told other people, Nigel got an upper respiratory infection when he was younger and we waited too long - thinking it was just a "cold" or something... it would've been much more inexpensive (and less emotionally draining) if we'd just gone to the vet :)
