How much should I eat?

I feel that I am at a healthy weight of 13 pounds and Mom free feeds me. What do most of you cats out there do as far as portions with food?

Mom generally will fill my dish twice a day, maybe that is bad?!? But if she doesn't, I act like I am starving. I usually don't finish the second bowl of foodl; I think I feel comfort just knowing it is there.

Does your vet feel you are at a healthy weight at 13lbs? That's the important question...

The amount of food depends on what your vet feels is a good weight for you along with your activity level. While Alvin is not twice the size of Patches, he's allowed to consume over twice as much food (he gets 2/3 cup, she gets 1/4 cup) since he's VERY active while Patches doesn't do a whole lot...

My Fe-Lion sisters free feed. One is fat and the other ol'lady is skinny. I think the ol'lady is deaf and senile. She does not hear the sweeper anymore and she will be in a room and just sit and howl like she does not know where she is. Strange she is.
