Well, I for one, think that AnnaBelle would be just beautiful in one of those classy snoods like our BFF Lucy Goosy has. FiFi asked me to tell you that she really was just kidding about the dress thing. :) Mom said she hasn't had a basset now for a long time since losing her Beau many years ago. So she switched to poodles and now she's hooked. :) hahaha

Okay, I just got off the phone with the lady at rescue and this is what I know: AnnaBelle has been in rescue since last weekend. She was surrendered by a young couple that was moving into an apartment and did not allow pets. The gal is also pregnant and didn't think she'd have time for two dogs (the other dog found a home already). AnnaBelle has been doing well with pottying appropriately and she loves to play. She eats like a pig, despite her "smaller" size...get this...she's already 30 or 35 lbs at 10 months. (Freckles was 42-44lbs full grown) At the earliest, she will get spayed this weekend and I can pick her up the day after the spay. Otherwise she will get spayed on July 22nd and I take her home on the 23rd.

We are going to change her name...we just have to figure out her personality first. If she's too attached to AnnaBelle, we are going to try transitioning her to Abigail, and ultimately calling her Abby.

That's just too too grand. I'll be bringing my Mimi home next Friday!!! 8 more days!!! I'm so happy that you will have a new darling basset. We all miss Freckles. xoxo

You should have lots of practice between Me, Riggs and Maggie J. I'm still going even though I broke into the cat food yesterday.
