Yes, Wiggles seems to be fine this morning. He's peacefully asleep on his bed at the moment, which makes me hopeful. For the next 10 days, he'll be monitored and will go to the vet at the first sign of strange behavior. I'm starting to think he'll pull through, thank God. Once again, thanks for all of your concern. You are an amazing bunch of people!
I cheated and scrolled down to read this first, so am glad he's holding his own today. You got to him quickly with treatment, and I know you will be watching him like a hawk. We are praying for you and Wiggles.
Wiggles, luv, we are so glad to hear you are feeling better. What a miracle that you survived!! I survived being out in the storm this week all by myself after I snuck outside. Boy did I get in trouble and felt awful for making Mom cry. We are both survivors, me and you!! Get better fast and send us a note to let us know how you're feeling! xoxo FiFi
Wiggles is still doing well. So far, he hasn't shown any symptoms, which is a good thing. I've already decided that he's getting blood work done next weeks, to check liver and kidney function. He'll probably end up being on the pills for a month, but that's not a big deal. I'm just so glad that, for the moment, the outcome looks positive.
Wow. Wiggles is one lucky pooch! We are so happy he is feeling better. I hope you feel better too, Rachael.
That's really some great news.....keep on bein' healthy, Wiggles.
UPDATE: Wiggles has an appointment on Friday for blood work to check his platelets, liver and kidney function, and just overall health. He still hasn't shown any symptoms of being adversely effected by the rat poison, but I'm not taking any chances of having something slip by. Fingers are crossed that all goes well, and my boy will healthy for years to come.
