Abandoned dogs

Any suggestions? I got this post at work. I told her to contact Wags Strays and asked if they were a certain breed. I don't think HSI will take them though

Who should I call about abandoned dogs? I have tried the Mayor's Action Center and I have not gotten through - I would love to have the two dogs - which were abandoned by my neighbors - to go to the Human Society - but I can not transfer them in my car.

Hi Anne...do you have any other info? Type and size or dogs, M or F, nuetered/spayed? Also, what side of town?

Anne, the Humane Society no longer accepts strays, so even if you took them there, they would be immediately taken to IACC. Please call FIDO (For Indianapolis Dogs Outside.) They may be able to help you. www.fidoindy.org
