Soft E-collar

Teri & Leopold on Shopping - Thu, July 03 2008

Does anyone know where I can buy a soft e-collar in or around Indianapolis? I can order on-line but with the holiday Tuesday is the earliest I can have it delivered. I thought maybe one of the smaller specialty pet shops might carry them.

have you checked with your vet or IVEC?

My Vet is where I found out about it. I've looked at all the big stores like Petsmart, Petco, PSP. I know somebody in Indy has one. It kind of looks like a mini innertube a child wears swimming.

I know exactly what you are talking about, but I have never seen those in any stores, sorry! Can you get something like a piece of cardboard, cut it to fit his neck, and maybe put something soft around the edges, like cotton balls? Then use something like duct tape to secure it together, then he can see where he's going, but cannot turn his neck to lick himself. I hope he gets better soon. :)

I saw them somewhere recently and thought that I would remember in case anyone needed one. Let me keep racking my brain about it. My usual haunts are the Fishers Petco and 86th street Petsmart but I have been to PSP on Rockville road lately. I saw it when Jerry was with me but he can't remember where we saw it.

I went to Speck's and bought a soft muzzle & a diaper. I don't know if he'll like these any better but I had to try something. I'm going to order a soft e-collar online so I'll have one if I ever need it again.

They didn't have any at Speck's. Do you ever go to Wipe Your Pawz?

All the time but Jerry doesn't usually go. I was just in there yesterday and don't remember seeing anything like that but Shawn could probably get it for you. Bad thing is it would probably be Tuesday. I expect my brain to kick in any moment:-)

I posted this on one of your other posts, but I 'm not sure if you saw it. This may be an idea.
