I am just SO worried.

I really don't like the kennel at all, but we also don't give much of a choice because of our behavior without her. Our mom ALWAYS come back to get us after a trip, though it seems like she's gone forever. Mom said it takes a couple of days for me to get back to "normal", but I always recover completely. Sheila doesn't seem to need the readjustment period. The people at our kennel are really nice, and take good care of us, but we do miss mom.

Well, I've never been in a kennel in all my life but I know dogs who have and they are just fine! They come home and their families come home and everything is exactly the same as when they left. Not to worry! Some dogs even have a great time and get pampered. Enjoy your time at the kennel!

Our nieghbor offered to keep me but, mommy said she did not want to put that responsiblity on someone else. I love thier dogs and it would have been fun. I am really a good boy and listen very well to our nieghbor too.

Oh Star Hunter, you will be just fine... your mom loves you so much I know she'll be thinking of you until she can come get you!

My mom doesthe same thing when I stay at Puppy Playground - she gives me tee shirts that smells like her and my dad and my favorite toys and my bed. She also gives the kennel Peanut Butter Kongs to give me at night and special food (Wellness Puppy wet food) because I don't like to eat in strange places - is there a special food that you like?

Where are you staying? I'm sure they will love you and take great care of you!

Beautiful Star, I wish you could come and stay with us! But I want to tell you a little story. Sashi, who was so much like you, was afraid of the boarding spa, too, at first. But she was just too big to take everywhere, and sometimes she had to go somewhere that would be fun for her while I was away. Who wants to stay all alone at home and wait for somebody to show up once a day to feed and let you out? This was way before FiFi was ever born and so Sashi was the only dog. So she started going to a doggie spa where she could get groomed and play outside, and have lots of people company and other doggie company. She always had fun, even if she missed me and I missed her so much, and she always knew that I would come back in a few days. When you are bonded to your human the way you are with your Mommy, you just know inside that she will always come back. At least that's what Sashi used to say. Go and have fun! It will be a little vacation for you and you'll make some new friends. !!

Try not to worry, Star Hunter. Just think of this as your vacation to the doggie spa. And your mama will come back to get you. She loves you so much that she could never forget you.

I wouldnt worry you mommy loves you and would NEVER forget you. hey what kennel are you going to be at if your close and they have day care maybe i can come visit!? you think they would let us play?!

Nushi & I have been to a kennel twice and we had a cool time there. When Momma picked us up, they gave her report cards on each of us that said we played like crazy, ate really well, and were extremely friendly. That was a nice place.

must be something in the water -- Mom's been talking spa's for me too (but not Ojo - hmmmm). Which spa are you heading to? Personally, I asked to go to Floridai or on a cruise but Mom seems to think I'd be better off near home.
