Whenever I hear about someone having problems with a person keeping a chained dog I send them to www.dogsdeservebetter.com. But being able to remove the dog from the situation right away is so much better for the dog! I just hope that stupid guy doesn't go out and get another dog to treat that way.

Honestly I am surprised the guy sold them the dog. Usually these people in my opinion don't think anything is wrong and have no intention to let someone take the dog. maybe he needed the money

I'm so glad that worked out. I know the people at FIDO deal with this constantly, trying to get people to understand that dogs don't do well chained up 24/7.

I wish more people were also educated on the animal laws in Marion County...Did you know it is unlawful to chain a dog outside unattended if it is not spay or nuetered? Also, a dog can't be chained between the hours 11 pm - 6 am. The dog must have shelter if chained. If more people were aware, maybe more people would report the violators.
