I got this from another list, and I thought maybe if more folks knew about it, it could help them get the help they need. I think I may have to be at training Saturday, but I am going to loan them our post hole digger, if I can find it, LOL. Please help these guys out if there is any way you can, they do such a great thing for our bullies here in Indy!!
Operation ” Build A fence Day for Casa Del Toro” Day
The fence installation process is not a real easy one, its hard work but we have some really great people who have stepped up to offer help on this project! This is great News as it takes the fencing and kennels to be erected before we can accept any more dogs into rescue.
We have set the fence building day for this comming saturday June 28th begining at 9:00am in the morning.
We will also have a pitch in cookout set this day for everyone, this will be a “get to know you day” as well as the fence building day!
If anyone would like to volunteer this day you can e mail Sara at : endanimalabuse@hotmail.com
Where:
1444 S. Talbott Street
Indianapolis In 46227
When: We will start at 9:00am until ?
Parking should be in the Alley behind the house as to not disrupt the other normal residents thatr use the Talbott Street parking. ( we do not want to tick off the neighbors right off the bat (—Smile—)
Here are a list of things needed for this day that we are still looking for :
Post hole diggers ( or an auger, that would be GREAT)
Quick Crete ( we are unsure how much we will need ) to secure posts in ground.
Fence Stretcher or a reasonable facsimile )
Regular tools from a tool box ie: socket wrenches, Pliers, Hammers etc etc
Someone with a general knowledge of fence installation ( would be great)
Bailing wire for parts in fence that may need extra reinforcement.
We will also be having a pitch in type cookout this day so far we will be having Hot Dogs & Drink , feel free to bring something as well, we will be under a large tent that will have a screened in area so we do not get nasty little bugs! We will provide the OFF for anyone who needs it!
again If you would like to be a part of this fence building day, please email Sara at :endanimalabuse@hotmail.com
Our end goal is to be able to install the fencing so we can begin installation of the kennels where we will be able to have volunteers come and help out with rescue dogs hands on, on a regular basis!
Were very excited and look forward in seeing everyone out that day.
