Dog Wild in San Francisco

Sarah on Shopping - Tue, June 24 2008

I recently vacationed in San Francisco and discovered it is a great city for dogs, even though no one has a yard.

In the Cow Hollow and Russian Hill areas, people are constantly out and about with their pooches. Here you'll find several locally owned boutiques and restaurants and many of them sit water bowls outside their doors.

I saw dogs lounging in Cafes and if dogs weren't allowed inside the premises, people would just tie them up outside and the pups would happily sit there waiting and enjoying the attention from passerbys.

I'll admit I had to pet every dog I walked passed. I could not help but think, I have no idea what it is like to have such a well behaved dog. :) Then I also thought that San Francisco must be a trusting city because I would not be able to relax around here if my dogs were not in eyesight.

I could never tie up my dogs outside a store and go in without them. No way! That's just like leaving your kid outside... I'd be a mess.

I hardly trust anyone with my dogs. So there is no way I could tie them up anywhere and walk away.
