Explosions in the night!

Minnie on Behavior - Mon, June 23 2008

Last night around midnight some jerk let off a huge firework!! It startled Beverly and I, and we started barking. Poor mom didn't know what we were barking at because she was asleep. She just knew we had heard something. She got up, checked around the house and told us it was OK. I think we gave her a good scare! Then, just as we were all settling in bed again, BOOM!... another big firework!! Mom saw this one though, so at least she knew what we had been barking at earlier. How rude of someone to let those off at midnight! Beverly and I usually don't care about the fireworks, but those startled us because we were trying to sleep! We got up late this morning because we were all tired, so we didn't get our morning walk. Mom says she'll come home for lunch and we'll walk then.

That was very rude. I hope somone called to police. How dare they disturb your beauty rest?!

Yep, call the law. How rude! The thunder woke me up but I don't think the 5-0 can do anything about that.

There were only two fireworks let off, so I think someone must have complained. My girls never bark at night when we're in bed. It scared me to death!!

The fireworks have started going off in my neighborhood, too. Luckily, not that late at night. Mom laughs at us because we don't get too worked up about them (unless they're the great big ones). However, we sure that the bull frongs at grandma's are gonna eat us!!!!

That IS rude! I'd be huddled under the bed until morning! Your mom should report the jerks!

Oh yeah.. I wasn't a fan of those last year and I REALLLLY am not a fan of them this year. I start shaking and making Mom really nervous. I feel for you, Minnie
