The cutest little girl rang my doorbell just a few minutes ago. Of course, I had to bark my head off.
When Mom answered the door, the little girl said, "Do you have a dog?" Well, I barked some more to remind her that I was standing right there--Helloo-ooo!
Mom, always a sucker for kids, played along and said, "Well yes, I do have a dog. Did you want to play with her?"
The kid hands my mom a piece of paper that had a hand-drawn picture of a dog, the little girl's name (Georgia) and her phone number. And the little girl announced very matter of factly that she is a dog-sitter. She charges $1 per day to dog sit and five pennies to walk around the cul-de-sac because she's not allowed to leave our cul-de-sac.
Mom found out that she is six years old and likes dogs, but doesn't have any of her own because her grandmother thinks they are "gross."
I barked a couple of more times in insult, but Mom shushed me.
Unfortunately Mom was really nice to the kid and invited her back to go on a trial walk and play ball.
*sigh* If that kid pulls my tail or pokes me in the butt, I am NOT playing ball!
Just be on the look-out. Little blonde haired entreprenuer, wearing a pink shirt and white shorts. She could be ringing your doorbell anyday!
