Of course, Charlie!! Mommy would think something was wrong if I didn't bark bark, grab her pants leg, pull on her fingers to drag her outside, and act all up when she comes home. Then I play RUN RUN RUN, my favorite game, in the back yard, and make Mommy laugh. Mommy said she's really really happy that she has me and Little CeeCee to come home to every day, and especially now that our Sashi's gone. Charlie, where did Sashi go? I don't understand this Rainbow thing. Will I go there someday? I thought I cuold ask you since you're my brother-in-law. xoxoxo FiFi
I do this too! Sometimes, when my mom comes home, I like to grab her by the forearm and lead her around the house - ya know, show her where i hung out all day - but she doesn't let me either... if i try, she makes me sit and then gets my rope toy to put in my mouth...
She thinks i just get so excited i don't know what to do with myself and carrying around my rope toy helps me calm down and focus.
When I came to live with mom, dad had a dog that did that and he had taught him to grab a toy before greeting anyone. That kept him from grabbing onto people because he had a toy. I learned that from his dog, so when I greet mom or guests I usually have a toy in my mouth. Minnie sometimes grabs a toy because she's copying off me! Sometimes she doesn't, but she doesn't grab people. She just walks around wagging her whole back-side!!
I bark and bark and bark and bark. Then I bark some more, maybe chase a cat or shake one of my "babies." Then I go and scoot the food bowls around and bang them into the baseboards so mom doesn't forget that I am hungry. Recently she's been into this "calm submission" thing that some Caesar Salad guy talks about. Whatever. Can't say I'm too fond of it myself because she makes me sit and be quiet before anything else happens. I liked it better when SHE was calm and submissive.
Oh my gosh, I'm breaking the law???!? Wow I didn't mean to be a juvie (that's short for "juvenile delinquent" for you kids out there). Hope mom's not too mad at me. Hey, she comes home in an hour!!! oh boy oh boy oh BOY
I do not rest until mommy submits & bends down so I can give her a kissy when she comes home.
She has watched that Salad guy too!! I think he's got it all wrong it should be 1-lovin's 2-yummy food 3-activity of your choice, ie snooping er uh, walking thru the neighborhood.
I'm with you girl. I don't know who the salad guy is, though. We have to sit quietly before ANYBODY is allowed to pet us. Its really not fare. Let me tell you, mom is often not sitting and calm when she meets people.
Neither of our moms is particularly calm under most circumstances. They should be better role models.
I go crazy when Mama comes home. Usually I meet her at the door and she says---Hello, Handsome Jack (not sure who Jack is) Then I either jump up and she will pet me. She says==How was your day? I give her the run down on my day or I do crazy dog run and growl and bark cause I need to go outside or no one has given me a treat all day.
We've always done the love bites but only to Mama--no one else. If love bites are wrong, I don't want to be right.
I've recently started barking and barking and jumping when mom comes home. Just when mom comes home, not dad. Unfortunately none of my antics are appreciated and mom ignores me until I sit calmly at her feet. Sometimes she laughs because she can feel the energy vibrating through me, but at least I am sitting she says.
I'm with T on this one! If love bites are wrong, I don't wanna be right! And I also do this only to mommy- nobody else. I just love my mommy! BARK
FiFi, I meant to answer your question earlier! Sashi went to a big huge barkpark in the sky (called heaven) and we'll all get to see her again when we go someday. Then when our mommies and daddies get to heaven, we get to see them again too! xoxo Charlie
