Out all day!

Hoover on My Blog - Tue, June 17 2008

This weather is perfect for yard patrol. I have been outside since this morning and haven't even come in for lunch or supper! Mom keeps trying to get me in to eat, but I just don't want to!! I'll eat later when I come in.

I need to report a squirrel trio that have been tree hopping from yard to yard. They tend to run in a follow-the-leader formation on the ground and snake about. Truthfully, they are pretty creepy. It's like they're attached nose to tail, nose to tail. It is not normal behavior.

I helped my neighbor cut the grass. I bark at the mower and him when he gets close to my fence. He just smiles and talks to me. When he's done, I wait for him to come pet me, he always does. I am his favorite (of course).

Mom watered the plants and I was a little concerned that the hose was going to be turned on me, but thankfully, it wasn't. I'm actually hoping that mom furminates me as my fur is feeling pretty hot. Then I KNOW a bath will be next. Can't win with this one!

Now that the grandparents are gone, everyone is back to normal and life is good. I hope that everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather we're having! I'd better go and keep up with the squirrel trio. Toodles!

I was out almost all day too, except for the part where Maddie was on TV and I was in my crate with a 7" center bone. We got extra long migration walks because it is so nice out, and we got to try to go under the new shed where something smelly crawled up and died. Those squirrels need your continued vigilance, Hoover.

Wow! Sounds like you had a stellar day. Glad the grandparents are gone. It's nice to have things back to normal.

As for me, you've read about the treacherous visit to nail hell today. After that, things improved. Mom mowed the yard and we all barked at her and monitored her activities (while she was working in the front yard) from the bedroom windows. She could hear us really well too since the windows were open. She really likes it when we bark and whine continually. :-)

Glad to see someone was out doing yard patrol. I was cooped up in the big bed convalescing mom.

I know what you mean, this weather is gorgeous! I did a little deck patrol as well this evening. Someone's gotta watch the grounds.

Sounds like you had tons of fun! I like to cooler weather too. Mom will let me walk a little farther when it's cooler. When it's hot we take the short walking route because for some odd reason she gets embarrassed when I flop down in other people's yard to take 5. I'm just looking out for numero uno ;)
Please don't let those cirus squirrels come to my yard. I always get in a dither when I see those creapy looking things.

Oh man you are SO lucky to get to stay outside all day long!! I wish we had a fenced-in yard so that I could be outside on days like this. Those squirrels you are reporting sound spooky! Keep an eye on them, 'k?
