Invisible Fence Question

Alena on Activities - Tue, June 17 2008

Hey! Does anyone have a loop break detector for invisible fencing?

I left for agility last week and when I came home an hour later, the break alarm was on our invisible fence.

My neighbor was weedeating their lawn but the wire is completely burried on that side.

I fear that it is a nick in the wire and thus will be nearly impossible to find without splicing the crap out of the entire thing which I'm NOT looking forward to.

If anyone has a break detector that I could borrow, I would be forever greatful. It won't work on a nick, but it will detect a whole break. With all the rain and stuff, I'm kinda wondering if the ground shifted and possibly could have snapped the wire underground somewhere.

Thanks in advance!! Alena and Jude (who is now on leash constantly since the fence is down).
