I'm back...for as long as my dial-up connection will allow. Being at Grandma and Grandpa's is great for the most part! Grandpa and Dad are still in a battle for my affection and attention. It's like they are betting who is my favorite human. I snuggle and invite with belly rubs with both of them to keep them on their toes. Grandma even likes me, and she isn't that much of a cat person. She said she has only two problems with me. One: I jump on the counters. Dad hardly made dinner for himself, so me jumping on the counter was no big thing. But whenever I do it with Grandma fixing supper she manages to shoo me away. I guess I'll have to adapt. Two: I rub between her legs in the morning when she's the only one up. Let's face it, around seven in the morning, I need my affection. Grandpa is at work at 3, Uncle Mikey and Dad are still asleep. Grandma is the only choice and I be sure to draw her attention by rubbing in between the legs. She shoos me away again and says, "Boomer, leave my legs alone. I swear if you were human you would be a leg man." Besides that life is good here. Grandma even brought me home a yellow collar the other day. Even though Dad is against such things as clothing and colors I must say that I don't mind it too much. I mean, come on, yellow looks good against my black nape. Well, Uncle Mikey's bed is inviting. Just thought I would post to let you know I'm still alive in country luxury until the move to AL. All for now.
P.S. Trixie, I still dream of you. Sending warm hugs, a gentle paw, and even the occasional nose rub.
