The vet put me and Fergus on a "diet" and said that we had better not put on any weight before our next visit. Mom has to measure our food out now (which has helped) and we get treats once or twice a week instead of everyday.
Also, ask your mom to play toys with you. Mom plays ball with us or lets us chase the "fishing for a kitty" feather toy around after her. Sometimes it ends up being her and dad playing with the toys and us watching, but at least they try.

Nice advice. But those feathery things are not interesting. My owner always tries to wave it around, and I'm just like 'what...it's 3 in the morning!'.
