I was fed up waiting to see if anyone was actually working to fix the "status: 500 internal server error". I reported the problem thru the indystar.com and also left a voicemail for someone in tech support that was around 3:30 this afternoon. I was finally able to get logged in about 15 minutes ago. I'm sure that if their advertising clientel associated w/ this site knew that no one could view their ads for over 12 hours that would have lit a fire under someone's butt to get this error fixed.
I sent emails to Indypaws@indystar.com, our site coordinator Amanda and Chris who worked on my log in issues. He responded promptly and said that they had a server meltdown that was the problem. Soon after, I was able to get back on. I said they should have realized something was wrong when there was no activity for 19 hours! Glad it's back now.
