Where are the lightening bugs?

Hoover, I saw one the other night. It made me wonder what had happened to all of them. We used to have tons of them when I was a kid.

those were the good old days when you played outside until the street lights came on too... before west nile, before violence, before...

Second try. My mommy and I were thinking the same thing. They are usually by now. I wonder what is up?

I found this cute necklace at Party Tree for my daughter. It's a plastic lightbulb. The bottom screws off and you can put the lightening bugs you catch inside! It's so cool and she can't wait to use it. They just aren't out around here, yet.. I can remember being little and the more skeeter bites you had, the cooler you were Not now! *sigh*

Mom was just wondering the same thing. I bet we see them pretty soon. They're probably smart and waiting until things dry out a little bit.

the little girls in our complex found one last night and showed mom. she said that she didnt have them where she lived when she was a kid, but she said shes seen them before. i thought it was cool. i ate it.

I wonder if it is a little early. They usually are in full force around July 4th.

You know, you're right ... where are they? Is it all the rain? I certainly noticed the mosquitoes are out!
