The storm tried to stab our house in Grant County. It took a branch off of our own tree and shot it through the air and aimed it at our picture window. Mom was trying to get us all in the basement with the sirens going off and yes again risked her life to take Jasmine out around because of her fear of stairs. Heard something hit the house really hard. After our basement time, which is becoming routine lately, she went to assess the damage. That branch went through the gazing ball stand, piercing it like an arrow, busted it to smitherines, hit the house, {bedford stone, no damage} hid the beautiful, fragile, clear glass blue gazing ball under the side bushes completely unharmed. Mom about cried cause it was a gift and it was saved. After all was calm, we got to go in the backyard and see a double rainbow that Mom took pictures of. Then we went in the house and Jasmine attacked me twice, got in trouble, and everything is back to normal.
