Squirrel Interrogation Technique

Perl on Laws - Mon, June 02 2008

Beauregard and I trapped a squirrel over the weekend. She didn't have much information, but we do have a video of our interrogation techniques available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEav6d6hvj0

It was taken by a UN observer from France who threatened to be sniffy and rude with us, so we barked in German and he surrendered unconditionally.

Boy, you beagles sure go to town over squirrels. I prefer bunnies -- they can't climb trees.

I am really glad to see that one of you went after the other for a split second. I do the same thing woth Lola! I kinda want to share the squirrel but I don't. You know? Which one of you has the higher pitched bark? It's very melodious.

We barked at the video of you barking. Mom wonders if we're practicing your technique! One of those terrorists was on our deck today! Minnie got in trouble for running into the vertical blinds to get a better look. The evil thing lured her there on purpose!

That was our good cop/bad cop routine! Perl's the smaller one with the higher pitched bark!

If you want to hear a high pitched bark, you should hear me. Dad says that I could break glass.

Very nice. I particularly like your interrogation method of rapid-succession barks, first Beauregard then Perl. I'm very impressed. Once they go up the trees, I lose them. It's almost like nothing exists if it's above my head.

Beuregard, was that you trying to climb the tree? I do the same thing. I love to give those squirrels hell.

Did someone say squirrel? Don't ya hate it when they flick that tail at ya'! Once, I grabbed got one by the tail and flung it from off the fence into the yard...hehehe...stunned that lil' guy! He'll think twice before he flicks that tail at me. Good job Perl and Beauregard, we must stay united against this threat!

Once they are safely out of my vertical leaping ability of about 6 feet, those squirrels make faces and say "I fart in your general direction" with a French accent. No wonder the UN observer can't be trusted.
