I had a foster dog like that - we kept a leash on her and would step on the leash and that kept her down. Didn't always work because we couldn't always get our foot on the leash, but it's worth a shot.

I'm quite the jumper myself. Only when people first come in the house, though. Ma and Pa just turn around so I don't get attention when I'm jumpy. They ignore me for a while, then when I'm more calm they give me all my lovins. Good luck with Glacier!

They don't call me ROO for nothin! Treats are the secrets to success. Turn your back to the jumping dog and ignore them when you come home. When they calm down, praise & treats. NEVER give attention when jumping -- only when calmed down. I'm here to tell ya, it takes a LOT of work... I still try to jump but I'd rather sit and get attention than jump and be ignored.
