Canned Dog Food

Anne on Nutrition - Mon, June 02 2008

We are taking Nigel to the kennel/daycare this weekend. Last time he was there he barely touched his food, so I was thinking of sending a few cans of wet dog food to mix with his dry so he eats. Does anyone have any recommendations for a really palatable/nutritious food to get him? I'll probably go to the PSP on Wednesday after our dog class. Thanks for any suggestions!

Wellness canned is always a big hit here. They have 95% meat versions, which might be more palatable. Evangers is great, but I don't think PSP has it. Innova and Nature's Variety are my other favourites.

My hairballs LOVE Innova's EVO canned food, Wellness and Wervua (sp?) are close behind though. All three brands have dog varieties in addition to the cat ones.

My cats love Innova EVO & the dogs love the Eagle Pack with lamb.

my dogs highly recommend green tripe, which is at PSP. Smells and looks horrible. But, Batman gives it 4 paws up and even picky Sophia likes it.

Lucky Nigel, I love canned food! We also love EVO and wish we could have it daily!

I'm fond of Eagle pack canned food but get so excited that I shake and drool when Mom buys Evangers whole mackerel. The PSP in BR used to carry it.
