Boomer's new persona?

Brad on Boarding - Fri, May 30 2008

Evidently, as noted by my parents, Boomer acts like a totally different cat in my presence. According to what they say, as if I should believe them of all people, Boomer is as sociable and loving as can be when I'm not around. Belly rubs, cheek rubs, constantly wanting to be held and petted, that and so much more when I am absent. However, when I'm away he is evidently extremely playful, still loves belly rubs, but passes on all sorts of petting and holding. So, here's the big question: do your pets act like this? Surely mine isn't the only fur kid buttering up grandma and grandpa? Or maybe Boomer just doesn't feel comfortable "opening up" with me. No matter, I much rather have a playful Boomer than a cuddly one any day.

He wouldn't want you to feel jealous of him snuggling with with the other family members, right? That's a very considerate thing to do, if you ask me. Boomer, you 'da dude!

Mom's recently figured out that I snuggle with Grandmoe and Erin while she's at work then will only play with her when she gets home. This makes Grandmoe crazy. She's always telling me that I'm too big to be a lap dog.

Our cats act like your description of Boomer when we've been gone for a while. I just think he missed you! Now, when the dogs to to my parent's house, they go WAY beyond buttering!

You know I have never heard of a cat doing this. Usually it's dogs. My cat is actually the opposite. When I am there he is super nice and when I'm not he only tolerates the human race.

When Mom's gone, I'm definately Grandpa's girl but all that goes away when Mom walks in the room. My Mom IS my world. Roo was Grandma's girl unless Mom was around. Dad will do in a pinch if Mom's not there -- otherwise, he says he's chopped liver.
