So...Aliens took my dogs and

Marci on Behavior - Fri, May 30 2008

brought back two much nicer dogs while I was on vacation. Many of you know that I took the dogs to a kennel during vacation. Since they've been back, they've been REALLY nice to each other. I thought it would wear off, but I've been back for three weeks. Currently, they're pleasently sharing (yes, actually taking turns with) a new stuffed animal. Even more strange is that the "critter" is still intact with only a few bits of fur removed after almost an hour. In addition, the rope bone is also still completely intact. This is completely ABNORMAL behavior for these two. I'm not complaining, but am rather shocked. Has anyone else had this experience after leaving your dogs for a week or so?

Nope but I'm packing Roo's bags right now just in case!

Even odder - they're not finishing the little rawhide sticks! I just found some under the table!

Wow! I may have to look into that as well. I've not had that happen before, but I've not had these 2 at a kennel, always at home or with friends. Interesting. Keep us posted on their continuing behavior!

Maybe the Aliens put some kind of mind altering probes in them or something? Freaky.

I think the Aliens has a little talk with them before sending them home to you. Now they are too scared to get into fights!

That's funny - I had to leave Ellie and Jed with my sis and her family for awhile when I was working on an out of state project. We now call her husband the dog whisperer b/c Ellie's behavior improved so much while she stayed with them. Its a wonderful thing ;)
