oh, poor Hoovie... you sound like a former existance of me - preProzac. I was known for running 1,000 miles an hour back & forth around the yard, house, bed, couch, etc. Puppy on Patrol. *sigh* These Prozacs are calming me down so that I can focus on Mom and training. Sorry about your Squirrel Loss...
Mom has often wondered if I need some sort of medication but we've made it 9 years without, so I'll "just keep swimming....just keep swimming..."
It's gender discrimination, I tell you. Females multitask all the time and no one questions it. But when you, a male, do it, you're the object of ridicule and mocking. *sigh* Who knew your humans could display such behavior. You may need to pursue legal action with Denny Crane. I heard that he, Kirby and Pearle went out the other night--the boys smoking and drinking and Denny hitting on Pearle all night long. Maybe Pearle can get you a discount on his legal services.
Oh yeah, work it from the inside, Hoov-- get in good with your sis Pearle and see if she can score some free legal advice for ya. 'course I dunno what you'd wanna pursue from a legal standpoint, but you are definitely being discriminated against, my friend!
We herding dogs just have to know what is going on at all times in every corner of our worlds. T and I patrol our back porch daily to make sure no robins or schnauzers from next door have invaded our territory to the north. Then we have to check to make sure that no boxers are invading from the south. In between times, we have to make sure that all the humans are where they're supposed to be. Just take us to school and that gives us a whole new place to keep organized and under control. You're not ADHD, Hoovie, just busy doing your job!!!
What? My services are needed again? Not today. I have a hangover and am still basking in that afterglow from my evening with saucy Pearly. Sir Denny Crane
Absolutely! Busy, busy, busy. We are worker bees, and it would have been nice if your fellow herding dog, Kirby, could have helped just a little bit instead of walking around with a stogie in his mouth.
I know exactly where you're coming from there, Hoover. I'm constantly on patrol in the backyard for vermin and kids and other dogs and strange car sounds and motorcycles and vermin....did I mention vermin? Those nasty squirrels, chipmunks, yes....even bunnies invade my yard. Do you think the rest of this menagerie cares? No, I say...it's always up to me to serve and protect!!!!
I know. Lola always wants a piece of the action but as soon as I see her go after something that could possibly be my catch, I snarf her away. I'm so torn between having her help me and keeping it all to myself. What's a dog to do?
