I made mom cry... :(

Madison♄ on Grief - Mon, May 26 2008

After mom came home from work yesterday, she let me out of my crate and took me outside to potty. Then she changed my water. Dad was on the computer. Mom left the room for a few minutes.

When she came back she caught me chewing on the bottom corner of the plastic baby walker that has been sitting in the living room for a few weeks. Mom yelled "NO!" at me and made me go to my crate. I was in crate jail for a long time while mom went on and on about how this baby walker was so expensive and her grandma sent it and blah, blah, blah. Then she started to cry. I actually felt pretty bad.

She said I just really hurt her feelings that I did that to something for the new baby. Mom forgave me and let me out of crate jail and said it was probably her fault anyways. She said she will get me something else to chew on that is okay for puppies. I'm sorry I hurt mom's feelings... The spot I chewed isn't very big, only maybe the size of a quarter... Dad said he can clean it up with a razor blade to make it less noticeable, but there isn't really any way to fix it.

*sigh*

Love,
Princess Madison

Aw... You didn't know that was for the new baby. It was just something new and you had to check it out. Tell your mom to put some Bitter Apple on the spot where you chewed and any other spot you may seem interested in. Mom's get real weepy when they're growing a baby in their tummy! I think I chewd on a swing leg..it's been a long time so I don't quite remember. Just so you know, Maddie... you mom will be even more weepy once the new baby arrives. It just happens! I quit trying to fugure my mom out after a few weeks. You will too. Just give your mom lots of lovin' every chance you get.

Kirby is right about the bitter apple. If your dad is like my dad, he can perform miracles. Your dad can work his magic on it and no body will know. Otherwise your mom can tell everybody that you worked your magic on it and that is how it turned out.

Awe, it's okay Madison! Just try to remember, you have your special things and the new baby will have his/her special things. I know it's probably hard to tell the difference sometimes, but you'll get the hang of it...especially if your Ma uses some of that Bitter Apple stuff, gross!

Poor Madison... it'll get better. This from a voice of unfortunate experience... I've been making my Mom cry a LOT over the past month. I always tell her I'm sorry and give kisses but she says that I need to do better.

Make sure to give her lots of love, Madison! Nothing makes a mom feel better than getting love, even if it's your fault she's crying. My mom cries sometimes about stuff. She usually hugs me and Minnie, and we make her feel much better!

Awww....poor Madison...it'll be okay. Tell your mama that you're sorry and give her your saddest puppy dog look. Your mama gettin' ready to be a mama is probably a little emotional right now...just give her your love.

Tell your mom it's nothing personal. I think she should get you some great new toys to chew on to keep you busy till that baby gets here. Milk it for all it's worth...you've got great big puppy eyes.

Oh Maddie, it'll be okay. I'm sure your Mama will get you some chewies of your own and even though it was very expensive just think of it as officially Maddie. Now, Mama can tell your new brother or sister that you added your own decoration to the walker. My cousins have a few toys with ETB stamps on them. Hang in there and give lots of love to your Mama--

Don't feel bad Maddie. I have destroyed a couple of pairs of shoes, and two strollers. I even pulled one stroller off the ceiling hook to chew on it!!! It will be OK. This baby sibling stuff is rough!
