Quiet weekend

Hoover on My Blog - Sat, May 24 2008

Sheesh. Compared to last Saturday's birthday bash this week has been really quiet. Dad cut the grass, mom and sis went out shopping and we were left to fend for ourselves.

Later in the afternoon we played ball with mom and then we ALL played badminton. Lola decided that she's afraid of the birdie because mom almost tripped on her going after the thing. Lola spent the rest of the time on a chair on the deck, pouting. Kirby was just in the way. He didn't care. Mom and dad both had to tap him on the arse to make him get up an move. What a slug. He has nooo consideration for anyone else.

I have spent the entire day outside because as you know, it's printer day and I'm not fond of that thing. It's been a great day to bark at the neighbors, so I don't mind at all.

That's my Saturday in review. To top it all off, Kirby and I have green martian feet from the fresh cut grass. I love it. It doesn't show up on Lola 'cause her feet are brown.

Over and out.

I slept all day in the big bed. I didn't even budge when the doorbell rang at 6pm and Aunt Margaret came to visit. After she left, I went back under the covers. I barked at a few birds and a bunny on the berm. Grandpa has been taunting me to go outside to bark. I think he loves my beautious shrill bark.

You have an aunt Margaret? Is she large? Is that why you call yourself Large Marge in Charge?

I could send a couple of foster brat sisters over to spice things up if you're that bored. That crazy Dayzee won't leave me alone. All that dog does is play, play, play. Between here and that psycho mini wiener Sweetie, they're going to drive me to drink the rest of the dog beer. Mom had some beer earlier but told me that I couldn't have it because it was people beer. Whatever!

I trade you a psycho sister for the dog beer. I could have used it today! Oy-vey!

Well, my Aunt Margaret does have great supervisory skills. Maybe that's where I get my Marge in Charge abilities from! I don't think her bark is as obnoxious as mine, though.

I'm sure her bark is no where near as awesome as yours. My bark is becoming amazingly shrill and beautious, too. It just seems that the day I turned one, I found my voice! I use it often so as to keep it in tip top shape. I drink lots of water. Mom says that's important for us singers.

I had a better day than I anticipated, thanks for asking, which you did not, but whatever. When mom got home from doing things with other people's dogs, she did some planting and I helped by throwing my ball into her flower pots, and chewing on some discarded fuchsia flowers. They must not be poison cause I'm still going strong at 10:30. I got to hurl myself into the hose while mom was watering and roll in some mystery stuff. Tomorrow is boring. Humans go to the race track early, come home and zonk out on the couch because they are tired from doing nothing all day.

Thanks but I've got plenty of psycho sisters of my own. You are more than welcome to come over and join me in a brewski while I listen to the race cars going around. We can hear them even though we don't live that close and I like to bark at the sound.

Well...Saturday was a so-so day. I got stuck left alone at home. Mom and dad went out to spend some of the "check" they got. Mom is letting dad get a "lift kit" for his Jeep Wrangler... whatever that is. Will I need to use a stool to get in his jeep now?
Anywho...later on dad made a fire in the firepit and then they roasted hotdogs. I didn't get any. We did play ball and I did get my 3 walks in so that was good. Now dad wants to get new tires and rims for his jeep.
I like mom's jeep better. They don't take those doors off like they do with dad's.
Mom wants to walk around Eagle Creek Park today.
We can't go over to grandpa's because he lives by the Race Track....traffic...traffic.

My Mom & Dad are doing "projects" too. I don't think this yard is ever gonna be the way Mom wants it. I didn't even get my big walk this morning even though its super nice today. It's like a ghost town in our neighborhood. We saw cars leaving with bikes and boats early this morning. It's real quiet, too quiet.
