Rainy day- Blah Blah

Natalie on Activities - Fri, May 23 2008

It's been a LONG time since I had a dog...everything was going great, yesterday was the first day there was no accidents in the house. But today and this rain...I can't stand being wet, Honey smells, and I have to drag my poor hesitant 4 year old on our walks... Honey has pooped in the house 2 times and peed once. I can't get mad at her because it's my fault for her short outings. I am going crazy and I don't even know why...ugh! I am sorry for this but I need to get it off my chest before I loose my temper on Honey or my little angel :(

I can't wait until tomorrow when the weather is nice...pool day!

Man I wonder how I'll handle the winter time...it might be time to get the Invisible Fence!

Natalie, chill out. After a while poop and pee is not so bad. As long as everone is healthy. I am 6 and have to be locked up in kitchen jail when mommy is at work so, I do not pee on the carpet. I don't do that when she is home. I will poop on the carpet though. Mommy has gone to leave for a short errand. Opps forgot her car keys. By the time she gets in the house for her keys, I already left her a tootsie. She just let me outside!! What is it that goes on inside these little round heads?

I know I know... I think it goes deeper than the pee and poop...That was just last straw.

The last 2 days have been very emotional for me personally. Right now life is very stressful and I am just trying to figure things out.

Honey is a great dog and I know it takes time with a new puppy...she just got me on a really bad day. I know this isn't the last as well.

Take a deep breath and hang in there. I don't have any kids and I still get frustrated with the dogs. I can't imagine trying to deal with a puppy and a 4 year old! Our foster pup has been hard to house break and I've been really frustrated with her at times. We don't have a fenced yard so whenever one of the 4 has to go out, it's leash and walking time. We were able to put up a small fenced area a few weeks ago and it's been great! Our dogs don't like to go out when it's cold or wet so we do end up with messes at times. I hope you feel better with the sunny weekend predicted. Feel free to let off steam, that's what we're here for. Just remember that both of your little darlings will grow up so fast and you'll look back and miss when they were little. Take care.

Madison is almost eleven months old and still has accidents... But every time she does, I have to remember that it is my fault, because she knows to go outside. And I know she feels bad when she does it. She goes and hides in her crate or rolls over as soon as I find it, gasp, and say "MADDY!" lol

that's kinda funny...Honey knows when she is trouble for the most part too! She runs really fast in a corner with her tail between her legs :(

Today was much better because I told the hubby it's his turn to take over the duties. I sat by the pool and drank margaritas :)

I just have to remember it takes time and everything can't go as planned. I better get prepared for the next rainy day. I may need to see a doc to make sure I am not O.C.D.
