keep your eyes peeled!

Lynn on Activities - Wed, May 21 2008

I was driving into work just now and saw a GSD maybe chow mix sitting against a retaining wall on east bound 70. I couldn't stop in time to try and pick him up the first time thru so I circled back around and he wasn't there anymore. Please, Please, please anyone who is driving on 70 eastbound from the area of 465 on the west side to Harding St. keep your eyes peeled for this poor soul. I couldn't tell for sure if he had been hit or not. He was a golden color and did appear to be wearing a collar. I haven't a clue what I'd have done with him if I had been able to get a hold of him but I'm going to give myself an ulcer worrying about this poor dog. If anyone sees him or knows anything about him please let me know. Lynn

This is so awful to have to wonder what happened to him. Hope all is well and his owner found him. The thing I worry about stopping to catch a dog in this type of situaiton is that I may scare him and he will run into traffic. The trouble on a freeway, we usually are driving to fast to stop by the time we see them. Bless your heart.

I was already in the righthand lane but if I had slowed down at all the semi riding my bumper would have run me over. I feel horrible. I didn't see any evidence when I circled back around that he had been hit. So at this point the only thing I can do for him is pray. I don't handle being helpless well at all
