I had to hold still like that for 4-5 takes! And, each time they upped the anty with how much stuff was flying! Good thing Mom knows my buttons and brought my favorite ball for me to focus on (hence the head turns: right, left, center)
Is there anyway it can be put on Youtube or something like that? My friend in Northwest Indiana l-o-v-e-s Ojo, and she would love to see it.
Yes, all the stuff was really flying. We practiced a couple of times with Ojo's looks before things flew. There was someone behind the couch to hold the one plant up, another off stage left (ie: to the right) pulling the plants with a fishing line, another to the stage right (ie: to the left) blowing a HUGE fan onto the table to blow all the stuff off & around, and yet another fan blowing on the curtains. The director and I played catch during this to ensure Ojo looked the right ways when she needed to. The staring at the camera shots were done last... she sat & stared then I had her do a down followed by a head down. Long day for her but I think she did really well. I know the "kansas blowing" scene was about take 3 or 4 because her paw was in the air -- she didn't do that the entire time but that time they REALLY let 'er rip!
No copies yet -- the director said we would get one but we haven't seen it yet. I think for you tube, you'll need to have someone who can record it or obtain a copy of it in a digital form first to upload via computer.
Kathi said she was not going to promote this one on her resume :-) She basically sat like that for 2 hours...can you see her drool? jk. her main job was gently pushing Ojo's head down right before action back into her head down position.
