Moving to Floriday Tuesday

Well the big day is coming soon. We are packing up our home to move to Florida. We close on our home Tuesday and the buyer gets possessions at closing. Since the next few days are going to be crazy with packing and visiting family I thought I'd say my goodbyes to my IndyPaws family.

Basil and Socks are very confused because of all of the activity in our home. I hope they do well on the move. We are moving in with my parents until we find a place of our own. My parents have two cats and I am worried how Basil and Socks will do meeting their 'aunt' and 'uncle' on Wednesday.

I put this under Grief because I will really miss all of you and the wonderful IndyPaws site.

I have a lot more packing and cleaning to do prior to moving. I'll stop in and say hello sometime. It's been a lot of fun chatting it up with all of you animal crazy people.

I'm from Florida and I can tell you, I am really missing that sunshine right now.

I think that you can still use Indypaws, even if you don't live in Indy. :)

Oh yeah, you can still use IP. Peaches and family are in Georgia. Casey's mom is in New Jersey, so we can add a Florida resident too!

I hope everything goes well. Your cats will probably hide a lot initially until they get used to the new smells, especially the other cats. Mine usually try to ignore a newcomer unless they absolutely have to cross paths. My best advice is to not force interactions, but be available with a squirt bottle if their encounters become too intense. Good luck and please continue on IP!
