Mom stepped on my toe!

Andy on Grief - Mon, May 12 2008

We were out on our normal after-work stroll and I was doing my usual thing where I try to cut Mom off when I see another dog across the trail. Mom has been trying to keep me restrained to my side of the trail and I was doing a really good job. But then I saw this pretty, fluffy white dog and I just HAD to say hi. So I cut Mom off and stepped across the trail. In this act, Mom accidentally stepped on my TOE! Can you believe it? It hurt and I howled so loud. Then Mom not only felt bad for me but also felt very embarassed because she thought maybe the other pedestrians thought she was abusing me. I tried telling them Mom wouldn't do that. Oh well, I guess that is a lesson learned; DON'T CUT MOM OFF!

Dude, I get stepped on all the time. It's cause I follow Mom everywhere and she sometimes doesn't see me. Geesh....you'd think she'd learn to look, know what I'm sayin?

We get stepped on a lot. It might have something to do with mom having "oops" moments when she cooks. Those oops comments pretty much guarantee that we'll be underfoot everytime mom cooks. I also cut her off when we walk. Not a good idea.

I'm the master of zig-zag walks in our house. Mom always warns me she's going to do that someday if I'm not careful but she hasn't yet. Hope your paw feels better soon, Andy

OMG the first time I stepped on Wiggins(only her paw) I literally cried! I felt so horrible. She was fine but it still scared me. Since then she has become much better at watching where she's going and watching her surroundings.

I hardly ever get stepped on....even in the house, I stick close to the walls, cabinets, whatever. If someone stepped on me, I'd be squished. Hope your paw is better.
