Uh oh, gettin' itchy

Hoover on Health - Sat, May 03 2008

Yep, dad noticed my right eye being red this afternoon and it's still red this evening. Mom thought maybe I just got something in it, but nope. It's still a little red and teary.

This evening when I was hanging out watching TV, I was chewing my feet. I only do this when my allergies are bad. Kind of makes mom wonder what this summer will bring. I don't usually get itchy until August!

Mom will be going to get me some itch pills from or vet on Monday. Until then, mom is going to get some Benedryl tomorrow. We don't have any. I hope I don't get worse over night.

I'm not real bad, so I'm sure I'll be ok. Wish me luck for an itch-free night.

You better behave or my Mom's gonna let your Mom borrow my lampshade for those itchies. Do you get Benadryl liquid? I like the bubble gum flavor.

Dude, any left over itchy-free prayers I can conjour up, I'll send your way. Right now, I look like I'm wearing boots since I've chewed all the fur off my feet & ankles.

I feel your pain even though, I do not have allergies that bad. Poor Scooter-Roo. You are King of the Allergy Season. I do have one spot on my leg I lick. I don't know if it is allergies or boredom. I do it all year long. Mommy can not find anything wrong with it. I have been getting the yucky eye stuff though. Mommy keeps cleaning them out so they do not get crusty. Good luck to all the allergy suffering puppers.

Allergies are horrible! I have to get a shot every week for mine. I used to have to get a weekly bath, but since mom switched my food we've gotten it down to every two weeks before I get itchy. (I have shampoo from the vet that helps my skin.) I've only taken two Benadryl so far this year though!! Mom is really happy with that!

Here's a remedy I just read in The Star: For dog's itchy spots....mix equal parts Listerine, baby oil, and water, and put in a spray bottle. Spay area thoroughly on coat, massage in, and WAH-LAH! It also said this works for dandruff on Moms and Dads. Hope it helps!

Thanks Sugar! I'm going to have mom write that down.

Yep, except that it makes your coat all greasy. Mom just used it on me. But hey, it works! I also tried to eat it...oops!
