I have handled a few rats in my time, IMO they are wonderful critters and great pets. Also worked in a vets offfice for awhile but never encountered a rat. Are they routinely vaccinated? I know that they can carry diseases, just wonder how that is dealt with.
Id have a rat if I did not think that my vicious cats would eat it!

I love rats! I had a friend who had three of them. I got to take care of them once while she was out of town. Honestly, I can't think of an animal I don't love. If I was rich, I'd have my own sanctuary with ALL kinds of rescued animals!!
