Bird/Squirrel Entertainment

Cookie on My Blog - Sun, June 10 2007

My mom and sis bought a suet cake and feeder for my birds outside. They hung it right where I love to sit at my favorite window spot. We, (Oreo, Pearle and I) were all prepared for birds when a HUGE squirrel came and ate the entire thing!! We've NEVER seen anything like that up close. At first we were scared...I may have hissed, but we know we were safe inside. The feeder is empty and I can't WAIT for my humans to get more!! Next time, maybe mommy will open the window and I'll get a good wiff of him!! She said something about the A/C being on... Do any of you have a bird/squirrel watching spot?

You bet I do! Dad's apartment borders a small little forest type area. I have all sorts of squirrels that like to torment me. One particularly likes to climb up the balcony and wiggle its tail right in front of me. Ohh the nerve! Then on the other side we have bird feeders. However, I'm particulary interested in those big geese birds. I bet that would take a group effort to take one of those down! You in for the hunt, Cookie??

I'm in! But..I've never been outside. Come to think of it, I've never seen those geese birds, either...

Cookie is my brother and the back yard is my territory. Squirrels taunt me too, Raven. I chase them around the big trees ALL the time. Then they go up just enough, HANG UPSIDE DOWN and laugh at me. I have enough issues. Is it ever going to end?!?

I enjoyed putting up feeders for squirrels and birds until they started attracting raccoons. The cat then tries to beat up the raccoon through the sliding glass door. I'm a little worried that she isn't afraid of it.
