I have a question for anyone who has a digital TV.
I just ante'd up for a new TV... Bought a spiffy one that's able to do digital/HDTV and all that fun stuff -- closeout sales ROCK, it's the only way I could afford it.
*Side note: Yes, I know there's converters for analog and my cable company was going to still send out stuff for the regular sets, but my old one was on the fritz and I wasn't sure how much longer it would last (didn't always turn on right away, then would sometimes just turn off without warning, along with other issues...). I'd had it since the early 90s so I figured it was time to upgrade. Hopefully the new one will last just as long!
Anyhoo, I do not have digital cable (extra $40/mo I don't want to spend right now), just regular basic cable. Limited basic to be precise... Their cheapest package! Now that I have the new TV, there's extra channels. Like channels between other channels. Example: instead of just going 80, 81, 82, etc... It's now 80, 80-1, 80-3, 80-101, and so on before it goes on to channel 81.
Kind of cool, kind of weird.
Wondered if this a normal thing now that I have a TV that does both digital and analog (can therefore read more signals), or if aliens are pumping more channels into my cable system. ;P Anyone else have this happen?
