You're poor mom. It can be so tramatic to find "parts" in your yard. Unfortunately, sometimes this happens without the crew being able to see what happened. Since bunnies nest underneath the grass, the mowers may never have seen the nest. The bunnies hide until they get scared with the mower over them, and then its too late. It happend to my dad when I was young. They probably never saw the bunny(ies).
While I can understand accidently running over a baby bunny (don't like, but can understand), can any explain how a goose WING with no goose attached can be found in the yard? I went out to check something that looked weird in the pond, turned around to find the wing, just lying there... No clue what happened to the rest of the goose.
Mommy did not bring up any race issue. She feels that way about anyone living here. Mommy has lived in San Antonio,TX and has worked with many Hispanic people. She has never had a problem with them. I know this may have been an accident but, they run those mowers so fast. I don't believe, they could stop if they had to.
I sure do agree about them running those mowers FAST! I don't think they could stop them in an emergency, either. They fly across my neighbor's yard.
While very sad, I think there was a bit of over reaction here. Those mowers are loud and fast and a bunny could have gotten spooked and easily run right underneath it without the person really knowing. My boyfriend works for a landscaping company and most of the mowing crews are H2B workers from Mexico. They probably had no clue what you were saying. I have met a lot of them and they are very nice, appreciative people. I am sure it was a total accident and it had nothing to do with not respecting nature.
