Not feeling well...

Seth on Health - Wed, April 16 2008

I think Mom is going to have to take me to my first 'non-routine' vet visit. I have not been action like myself at all these past 24 hours. First off, I vomited 3 times and I have not eaten. Also, when my mom cleaned out my litter box, she noticed that I had not gone #1, only #2. The final straw was that I kept wanting to lie in my litter box. The vet says I may have a UTI. I hope that is not something that hurts. So now I have to spend all day tomorrow at the vet :( I hope all goes well.

I hope you get good news at the vet and are feeling better soon. It's no fun at all to go to the vet!

UTI does not hurt. The only thing is it makes you feel sick. Hope you are soon well!

I hope it goes well, too. Good luck!

I hope everything goes well at the vets. And that you get well soon.

In cats, UTIs *do* hurt... that's a big reason for cats to start avoiding the litter box, they hurt to pee... then associate the box with pain, so they avoid the box because they think it's the cause of their pain.

I have been lying in my litter box. Maybe I am waiting to pee. I do not know but something hurts and I don't feel like myself : ( Tomorrow I will feel better I hope.

If Seth can't pee at all, it's a trip to the vet ASAP!! Run, do NOT walk him there... If he's blocked, he can die in just a day or two if the bladder gets full and bursts. My mom's ex allowed this to happen to his cat, then blamed the vet for his (not the vet) ignorance... Yes, my mom did tell him to take the cat in a few days earlier, but he wouldn't listen! Just one of many reasons he's an ex...

I dropped Seth off at the vet this morning and he is spending the day there. I just hope he is okay...I don't want his bladder to burst :( :( :( Now I am just waiting it out.

Kitties can get all sorts of #1 issues. We hope you are feeling better soon, Seth.
