Tomorrow is the big day...

Madison♄ on Health - Sun, April 13 2008

Tomorrow I am going to the FACE clinic to get spayed. Mom says that means I will never again have to wear diapers for three weeks and sleep in my crate instead of in bed with her and Dad. If that is the case, bring it on!

Mom is a little nervous for me, but I know everything will be okay. We have heard really good things about the FACE clinic.

Wish me luck.
Tomorrow I will be a little woozy.

Love,
Princess Madison

Madison, let me make you feel more comfortable. I went to FACE. They are wonderful. Sure, I came home probably more groggy than had I gone to my vet but, mommies take care of you fine. It is good to be home when you come totally awake.Don't be afraid. They are very nice there. In fact, my hinny was so brused. The lady that brought me out was so sorry. I felt no pain though.

Hi Madison, I just had my spay surgery last Thurs. at FACE. I'm doing great! Mom says to get there early, before the doors even open. We got there at 6:25am and there were already 6 people ahead of us in line. Check-in takes about an hour. Mom was told by the Dr. that she could come and pick me up between 5:30 and 5:45 that evening. She was worried about me so she called to check on me and was told that I was doing fine and she got to pick me up at 5pm instead. Mom thought the vet tech was crazy at first when she told mom that she really needed to watch my weight. I'm 8 months old and only weigh 5lbs, 10oz. But aside from that everything went off without a hitch. Good luck, we know you'll do fine. Izzy

It's going to make you sore (and be hard on your Mom) but SO much better in the long run, Madison. My cousin Rusty is getting fixed tomorrow too. It'll be over before you know it... and you'll be back to playing.

Everything will be aok. Keeping you and your mama in our thoughts. It is a lot harder on your mama probably than you.

I will warn you: You mama might make take funny photos of you while you're a little woozy. But you'll snap out of that in a day or so. Just remember to heed the doctor's orders, 'k?

Your mom is the best and doing what is best for you and helping to stop pet over population. Tell your mom thank you.

We'll be thinking of you today. I got spayed too, and I was jumping around the next day! That made mom nervous, so you may want to lay low for a day or so. My mom will be cleaning cages this evening at FACE, so watch for her. She'll be sure to come in and give you some love while you're waiting for your mom to pick you up!

Work it, girl. You will need plenty of extra treats in the next few days.
