What are we running from?

I don't know if any of you cats do this, but my mom notices that I run frantically around the living room from nothing at all. I do so at the most random times too. She thinks I am crazy! Sometimes I will also jump in the air and do this half twirl thing as if I am chasing some invisible object. Then five seconds later, I'll be purring on Mom's lap looking for pets. Oh well, I have to entertain myself somehow don't I? I told Mom if she would just let me outside....eh, no dice.

Heavens, can she not see what you are chasing? It is those little mice you see in your mind. I hope you catch them all.

Duh! It's usually dust in my house or fur flying. It's not seen by humans but we sure see it!

I do it all the time. I see something my mom don't and she thinks I've lost my mind.

I will run laps around the house and either chase something imaginary or act like something is chasing me - just depends on my mood. It is definitely about entertaining ourselves! That's what kitties are good for!

I'm famous for sneaking around and pouncing and running, almost as if something has spooked me into flipping out. Mostly I think its a good way to add some excitment.
